My clients ask me if I ever eat sweets. The answer is yes. I like ice cream as much as the next person! However, I try to satisfy my sweet tooth with healthy treats. Here's a little something for your sweet tooth! Whether or not you're a fan of caramel apples, I'll bet you will be a fan of Caramel Apple Grapes!
~ 1 cup caramel pieces
(I used the squares & used a "rounded" cup measurement)
~ 2 tablespoons heavy cream
~ Seedless green grapes
~ 1 cup unsalted peanuts, crushed (or you can use salted)
~ Poke a toothpick in the top of as many grapes as you want to use.
~ Set aside.
~ In a small saucepan, over medium-low heat, combine the caramel and cream.
~ Stir constantly until melted.
~ Reduce heat to lowest setting just to keep it warm.
~ Place the crushed peanuts in a shallow dish.
~ Dip/roll the grapes into the caramel sauce and then roll in the crushed peanuts.
~ Place on a sheet of waxed paper to set and cool.
